The Knight of the Round Table Confronts the dragon

A sign of the reverence devoted to dragons is their use as emblems: red and white dragons of the Welsh and Saxons, drakkars of the Vikings, Mongol flags, spears of Roman cohorts... and, later, a large number of medieval coats of arms. Naturally that dragons found their place in the heraldry of the fantasy world, for example on the seal of the Targaryen family.
