Elrath vs Malassa

Dragon of light, dragon of shadow: like a yin and a yang, they never cease to seek each other out and confront each other.
Having become standard elements of fantasy, dragons have gone on to attack other beings and other worlds, sometimes as opponents, sometimes as allies. We might meet them in the streets of 17th-century Paris in the works of Pierre Pevel, or on other planets in Anne McCaffrey’s Pern series; they reign on a devastated post-apocalyptic Earth in the film The Reign of Fire (2002)... Alternate history and science fiction have been able to appropriate these creatures, drawing from the same sources and blurring the boundaries with fantasy.
