This portrait dates to the year that Félix Nadar left the studio to his son, Paul. Red on red - the literal and figurative signature color of the flamboyantly red-headed Félix - it graced the walls of the studio until 1939, when Paul Nadar's widow donated it to the Air and Space Museum.
