In 1886, Paul Nadar became France's exclusive agent for the American company Eastman, which gave amateur photography a huge boost with its Kodak instant camera and its famous advertising slogan, "You press the button, we do the rest." Over the course of their four-year collaboration, Paul Nadar frequently met the firm's representatives, incuding the founder, George Eastman, when he visited Paris in 1888.
