Paul Nadar also offered his clientele photomontages of portraits in artistic frames, like trompe-l’œil medallion portraits. His portraits of women reveal the particuiar care he took in portraying clothing just right - a skill he also honed in fashion photography, which was booming thanks to the advent of haute couture.
