Paul Nadar covered the Tsar's visit with his Nadar Express Detective. He had also intended to offer the Tsar a new copy of the portrait of his father, Alexander III, but the French gouvernment appropriated that idea. Nevertheless, the Tsar had a Fabergé silver vase sent to Paul as a token of gratitude.
