Using his Kodak Detective camera, Paul Nadar took a series of photographs documenting the damage caused by the fire in the Opéra Comique theatre. He later also photographed the commemoration ceremony. His attempts to get the newspaper Le Figaro to publish those images do not seem to have borne fruit.
