Atget undertook several photo campaigns in the park and gardens of Versailles. As he did with the Tuileries gardens, he captured in images all of the statues as well as the decorative elements, such as monumental vases, which punctuate the garden space. In his work on Versailles, he develops a taste for the impressive perspectives designed by Le Nôtre.
